Guys, as part of my general education about all things filmic, I'm trying to find a site similar to this one in terms of quality and content, only for amateur film-makers.
I assume most of us here are dedicated to live theatre. So am I, but I've decided that the opportunities are boundless today for amateurs to make good films, at least as well as amateurs make good plays. I need to talk to beginners like myself, and I need to talk about the making of films, (viz, plotting, storyboarding, pacing, ete, etc.) Plenty of books on the topic, but nothing beats learning direct from people. I don't want to jam up these boards with "film" threads, when we're supposed to be discussing theatre. Can anyone recommend a good amateur site then? Thanks for not burning me at the stake!
