I'm looking for a One-Act to be performed for children, by adults. We did Cinderella Wore Combat Boots by Jerry Chase last summer and it was well received.

A play for kids played by adults? Here's one they loved at my sister's middle school in Florida. I've never seen it myself, but she said the kids adored it, even though they were dumbfounded by the ending. |

Here's one I wrote that our "youth" group put on, but I've been itching to see it played by adults for a family audience. I'm anticipating a slight re-write in order to convert one of the "snobs" to having a full on Scotish accent.
Title: Igor's Back
Number of players: 8-10 adults + 2 youth (a Girl Guide & a Cub Scout)
One location set: A "garage" laboratory
Genre: Theatre for Youth - farce
Synopsis:
Doctor B. Lowenfuse is having a bad day. With his new "Time Camera" he was all set to impress the delegates from the Scientific National Observatory Body, and finally receive the credit that he deserves. But when something goes wrong, the Doctor finds his lab filling up with characters from the past. Now he, and his lab assistant Igor, must find a way to hide the historical figures, while trying to keep the Observatory delegates in the dark. Can they restore order to the universe? Or will the balance of the space time continuum be corrupted, and doom mankind forever?
Let me know if you might want to read the script. (constructive feedback always welcome).
Take a look here for our "KTKids" production (with photo's):
