Show Synopsis:

Trevor Barrington wants his family to see the “real America,” so they’re heading west in their custom-made Rolls Royce motor home. When their RV breaks down just outside of rustic Cactus Pass, Arizona, the snooty rich family finds themselves stranded, much to the horror of his snobbish wife Miranda and her French maid Fifi. Trevor doesn’t mind though, for the town’s annual jamboree will give his son and daughters a chance to experience a “real American tradition.”

The only problem is that the jamboree has been cancelled every year for the past 80 years! It seems the town is divided—complete with separate mayors, alternate school days and even assigned shopping times—because of a feud between the Putnams and the Ludlows over stolen prize money from a hog-calling contest.

Poor Cassie Putnam and Luke Ludlow (the “Romeo and Juliet of the West”), who have to keep their feelings for each other hidden from their families, though just about everybody else in town knows about them! Luckily, Trevor’s a man of action who would go to just about any length to make sure this jamboree happens, so he sets in motion events that end up resolving the feud… and exposing more than one thief in an exciting climax!

You’ll have a rip-roarin’ good time as you watch Lester, the deputy who’s too shy to speak, play charades to reveal the criminal secret identity of one of our beloved townsfolk. With a ten gallon hat full of great character roles, a script that’s a cinch to produce and a score that will get your spurs jangling, this musical is sure to be a hit!
