Topic: Production Liability Insurance

I'm trying to do my first production and am looking for production liability insurance (required by the venue I'm renting). Does anyone know a good and cost effective company that offers production liability for individual shows? Thanks

I don't know the details but our insurance company just dropped us. It's kind of aggravating after paying all that money for years without ever filing a claim.

onedayevent.com has been suggested to us before, but it's rather high. Any insurance you purchase for single events is going to be expensive, no matter what.

I assume it is Public Liability Insurance. We are covered under a the local City council blanket coverage for PL & Volunteer Insurance package/year. Which actually does not cost us anything, where before we were paying $2000/year, thru the Australian Community theatre Association.

However if you became a member group of your AACT ;-

They have a package deal set up for comeatre groups.

Very few agents understand Community Theater Insurace needs. I have a program designed for Community Theatres. If I can help let me know.
