Community Theater Green Room Discussion Board: Spinning Wheel

   Did a quick search, but nothing came up.

For this years pantomime (for which I've just got part of the script - its being written at the moment) I'm going to need to build a spinning wheel.

it needs to function in so much that the foot pedal must be able to turn the flywheel. just to give the illusion of "spinning".

someone, somewhere must have old drawings or photos of ones they've built in the past, and I'd be very grateful if you'd share them if you do.

	Andy you could try ;- http://www.amdram.co.uk/ which is a UK site. Put a request post on there, might give you more chance to pick one up, as Panto is more in the Pohmy tea bag. I don't think there would be many comeatre groups on this forum, that actually have been introduced to the magical world of "He's behind you!".

	Try this site for information on styles and looks (a few sketches) http://www.spwhsl.com/faqlink.htm. Then try http://www.craftdesigns.co.uk/ and http://www.jb.man.ac.uk/~caj/wheel.html for the actual plans. You ought to be able to mock up a design that looks like it works, but really use cut plywood, or cheaper materials.
