Community Theater Green Room Discussion Board: Flaming Flamingos!!!

     Now, I know it's not to the extent of vandalism some theatres have experienced lately, but it still hurts!

As some of you know, we "flock" to raise money for our little theatre.  Well, someone stole the flock from a home and set fire to them on the local ballfield!  Thankfully, only a portion of them were destroyed and we'll be able to "selectively breed" from our second flock, but it still hurts to think someone in our little town (less than 500!) would barbeque our little pink critters!

We've had some pranksters in the past ... moving the flock across the street, tossing the birds in the yard, etc. ... but to actually roast them?!  (The poor family from which they were stolen is devastated!  Not only that someone would take them from their yard, but that someone was sneaking around their house in the wee hours of the morning!)

	The ratbags! I suppose there is no forensics or perps DNA left to be investigate on the birds? these Wally's need to be caught & pilloried in the village stocks! Or at the very least be sentenced to attending at feed times of the remaining flock, in full view on the towns green sward. which would make for great publicity & promotion in your local media. You never know Nanette some kindly garden centre or flamingo supplier might sponsor or donate to increase the flock?

	Could they be flameproofed like other theatrical items? I'm sorry but the image of pink burning lawn flamingos is both hilarious and sad. I know, I need therapy.
