Isn't Gorilla Tape a vinyl backed tape? If it is, then "yes" it could take paint but it requires some prep... If you have some, I'd use Gaff Tape instead.  You can paint Gaff Tape with no prep and I've never found anyting Gaff Tape wouldn't take care of in a theater... except overbearing directors, and clueless actors... unless you first Gaff Tape their hands so they can't remove the Gaff Tape from their mouth.

Seriously, If you have to use the Gorilla Tape for it's incredible "stick" factor you might find it easy enough to simply use masking tape to cover the Gorilla Tape so that you can paint the area if it won't take paint without some prep. Sounds like overkill though.

Note: If the Director or Actor in question is technically inept enough, you may not have to tape the hands together at all. However, in most cases I reccomend you assume that even the most technically non-proficient person may be able to figure out how to remove tape from their mouth using their hands.
There are NO small roles, only small actors...

They are G'd'ns, bewdy Jon!
I can't remember if they form part of the 1001 'Uses for Gaffer tape' or not? You might have added 1002 & 1003.
I often wonder what we did before the advent of Gaffer?
I know for Dutchman back then, we often used anything from strips of newspaper to roller bandages. These days because of the cost of roller bandage, it is cheaper to tear strips of calico, A small nick of the weft thread, & it will tear straight along the warp thread down to the length of the calico. Especial good for Soft flats & repairs & even the Studio flats. as the Dutchman has a less defined edge line & melds in with the paint finish. A;so easy to remove on Bump out, it comes off with no drama's.
