We are ordering back drops and designing the sets. In the script it calls for some rooms, scenes to be projected on a screen from behind. I've never seen this done.
So if anyone has any ideas on this or what type of screen to use. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Is the screen to be part of the backdrop or is this separate from the back drop? The size of the screen is also in question. The only way I know is with a video projector or a slide projector. If you could describe more, that would help. |

Many, many years ago when I was in college we did a show that used rear projections using slide projectors. There were three screens built into the set. We actually made the screens from large pieces of bubble wrap with some sort of paint process that escapes me at this time. My recollection is that it worked exceptionally well and that the biggest problem was getting the angles of the projectors right so that the pictures looked right and you couldn't see the light source from the projectors.

It would be seperate from the back drop. The first projection is the outside of a house, the second is a bedroom, the third is another house.
So I think they would be somewhat large.
