We are currently beginning our production of Nunsence  in Putnam/Westchester area of New York and are having a hard time finding inexpensive Nun Habits.  We are a pretty new company with limited funds and would love to find something that looks good.  I know there is the option of gettting Halloween costumes, but those are made from that shiney thin material and don't look too authentic.

Any help with where to rent inexpensively, or a pattern to make them (or even a theatre group willing to let us borrow some!) would be highly appreciated!

We borrowed our habits from the local university's costume shop.  If they've ever done The Sound of Music, they'll have some!
