Community Theater Green Room Discussion Board: Auditions for 42nd Street in NW Chicago!

   Up & Coming Theatre, a non-profit, non-equity theatre, seeks tap dancers, singers, and actors for their summer musical, 42nd Street.  Auditions will be held Wednesday, May 26th at 7 p.m. (auditionees should arrive no later than 9 P.M.) Callbacks will be on Thursday, May 27th. 

Auditions will be held at the Prairie Lakes CenterTheater, 515 E. Thacker, Des Plaines, IL.  Auditionees should prepare 1 musical selection and bring sheet music in your own key. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring tap shoes and be dressed to dance as a combination will be taught.  All roles are available.  Picture and resume requested but not mandatory. No appointments necessary.

Rehearsals will be on a Monday through Thursday schedule, 7-10 P.M. although not everyone will be called every day.  Production will be directed by Jorge Bermudez & Brian Snelten with choreography by Megan Kosteck and music direction by David Orlicz.  Performances will be held weekends August 6-15, 2004.  For more information, you may email UACTheatre@aol.com

Auditionees should prepare 1 musical selection and bring sheet music in your own key. An accompanist will be provided.
