Community Theater Green Room Discussion Board: Iowa Festival

   This is to all the Iowa people out there!
I hope all your groups will be represented at the state festival in February!  It is in Newton this year which is a fairly centrally located spot.  It is a wonderful opportunity to attend workshops presented by experienced theatre people on topics near to our hearts.  Also, each presenting group's play is adjudicated by three trained adjudicators.  Sometimes they are involved in professional theatre, sometimes they are university professors in theatre, or from regional theatres or large community theatres.  It is always a learning experience and your people will definitely grow from the experience. 
The deadline is December 15th for registering and your theatre must be a member of IACT (it is very inexpensive to join.)  PM me and I can give you more details.

	Kathy S, you can post these dates on the Event calendar if you like -- go to the Events Calendar topic on the front page of the forum (or directly from this link: http://www.communitytheater.org/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=27 ) and post it just like any new post. You'll notice that the form that pops up has a place to enter the date. Everyone can read the calenda, but to start, we're only allowing members with 50 posts or more (Stars and Celebrities) to add events.
