I tried to chime in on this while the board was being bipolar, and it got lost, so I guess I'll try again. Favorite roles:
Favorite tech shows:
Favorite directing gigs:
There's only one show I've done twice: Of Mice And Men, playing the Boss both times. The first time was a wonderful experience, a near miss on the favorites list above; second time was a disaster of Biblical proportions. Dream roles:

Took me a minute to figure out which one you meant. I've never heard anyone call them by their first names. :) Love the show though. Hope to do it someday. |

I couldn't think of any dream roles, but I've had a few favorite off-the-wall roles over the years:
Dracula - Dracula, the Musical? (The comedy, not the drama). Funny show, and a lot of holding my eyes really wide for several hours at a stretch. 5 character roles (including Bert Healy and the laundry man) in Annie. Oh, all in the same show. Between the quick-change and the character development, that was more fun than it should have been. I never checked, but I might have had more stage time than Annie! -Tom |

As everyone else from our theatre has chimed in, I guess I will also. Favorites that I played: Sancho - LaMancha Nicely Nicely - Guys and Dolls Charlie (x2) - The Foriegner Sam Byck - Assassins (Yes now there are at least three of us that like the show) Now my Tech Favs: Somethings Afoot - Special Effects, set design and construction The Forienger - set design & construction Scrooge - Set Design and construction (the Director tricked me into doing the job by saying that we probably didn't have the ability to do all the play required and dummy me, I took up the challenge) |

Ah, yes... "Assassins". I had the pleasure of swinging the role of Squeaky and performing it for two weekends. Awesome, awesome show!!! If I was a guy, I'd totally use Sam's monologue for auditions!

Aha! Well, Patrick, there are now at least 4 people on this Board that like the "A" show. Nyah, nyah, Marty! |

Ooh, fun topic!
Favorite roles:
Rolf in "The Sound of Music"
Charlie Dalrymple in "Brigadoon"
Burt Healey in "Annie"

Never been a director!
More than once:
Brigadoon (once Harry Beaton, once Charlie Dalrymple)
Anything Goes (tap-dancing sailor both times)
Cats (see above) The Fantasticks (Three times--and every time I was "The Man Who Dies!" I wanted so badly to be The Boy, which is why I kept auditioning--and I was beaten out by the same actor twice at two different theaters!)
