Topic: sound advice... Posted: 10/02/06 at 1:55pm |
Currently I am trying to obtain control of the sound area for our theater department. It is not run very well at the moment. As I am the TD I have been trying to insert myself in all tech aspects, which would include sound. (with as little pushing and shoving as possible) What I am looking for is any good books, or places to look for general sound information. I have a bit from my other tech job, but I am looking for more. I am not looking to purchase equipment, just need the know-how to set things up and run them properly. any advice? Thanks!

A really good introductory sound reference is the Yamaha Sound
Reinforcement Handbook by Davis and Jones. It covers most aspects
of basic sound and gives you a pretty good understanding of sound as it
avoids the complex topics.
