Topic: Jump out of your seat thrillers Posted: 4/13/14 at 2:24pm |
Hi everyone,
We are enjoying a highly successful run of DEATHTRAP right now and I am looking for other thrillers that have those moments where the audience literally jumps out of their seats. We did WAIT UNTIL DARK a few years ago to similar success. Any other suggestions? Thanks! |

Agatha Christy's 'Toward Zero' is pretty good...

I agree with Ogreking4.
Towards Zero doesn't have the name recognition of Mousetrap or And Then There Were None or Witness for the Prosecution, but it does have a 'gotcha' moment, and maybe "Agatha Christie" is all the name recognition you really need. Edited by edh915 - 8/26/14 at 1:27pm |

Late to the party, but check out Peter Colley's "I'll Be Back Before Midnight". Very jump out of your seat thriller/suspense. Very technical show as well with wood stoves blowing their lid, serving hatch doors falling with a bang, a fight scene with an ax, a hung actor.

I can also second I'll be Back Before Midnight. Our group has it slated for our Halloween show, and it looks good so far. - Another show with some very effective moments is The Woman in Black, a two character mystery ghost story with both thrills (some 'gotcha' moments) and chills (creepy, hair stands up on the back of your neck). - If you're into ghosts, The Haunting of Hill House is pretty good, too.
