I'll bite and throw in two titles. - "Moon Over Buffalo" for the comedy and "Honk" for the musical.

One of the best musicals I have ever seen is "Oil City Symphony." The catch is, the actors are also the musicians, so not always easy but if you use and have a good selection of local pit musicians who could act, it would be a blast!

Have you considered Dearly Beloved, Jones, Hope Wooten? or also Jones, Hope, Wooten. More women, good clean hilarity and more women needed than men. Our audiences laughed non-stop.

Have you considered Dearly Beloved or Southern Hospitality, Jones, Hope, Wooten. Both are hilarious, have more men than women, cast various ages, costuming easy. Our audiences laughed non-stop!

Try the Ray Cooney comedies, you will love them. Here's two we have done at our CT: RUN FOR YOUR WIFE and IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY.

It's been a while since I read it but doesn't Dearly Beloved require a number of hoop dresses? I remember that being a reason we didn't consider it but I could be completely mistaken. |

I just directed "Dearly Beloved" this past season. It was a VERY successful show and so funny! So funny in that I've obtained permission from our board to direct the next two in the "Futrilogy" if you will. That being said, you don't have to have alot of "Hoop" skirts. The only one in our cast who was in a hoop skirt was "GJ" because she was actually in the wedding. If you think about it, the rest are really guests at the wedding. I highly recommend any of the Jones, Hope, Wooten comedies! I've not read one yet that didn't have me rolling in the floor! I know these shows are going to help resurrect our Community Theatre! Break-A-Leg!!
