I am attending a director's workshop. I need a short scene between two women, and I would really like to do a comedy. Any good suggestions?

There's a really cute one-act called "Roommates" by Mary Orr (Dramatists Play Service). Two women meet on a bench in Central Park, and during their conversation begin to think they might make good roommates. Further conversation reveals that the one's ex-boyfriend is the other's ex-husband - They're both victims of the same lying, scheming, two-timing bum! Good fun with a satisfying end.

I'd suggest a scene from "The Odd Couple (Female Version)". There is some very funny stuff. Also, "A Couple of White Chicks Sittin' Around Talking" might be worth a look.

I would also suggest a scene from the The Odd Couple (female version) or take a look at Steel Magnolias. some funny stuff between Clairee and Oiser. Good Luck :)
