Hello,
I'm doing some budget projections for a 99-seat venue we're trying to open. Does anyone have any insight on how much season tickets bring in on a percentage basis opposed to single tickets? What are the avg. attendance rates per production for season ticket holders. Any information in this realm would be very helpful. Thanks!

I would think there would be many variables. What type of performances? How long a season? What discount is associated with season versus single performance purchases? What is your audience demographic?

For example, if you are in a college town and rely greatly on student attendees then I would guess that season ticket sales might be much lower than for a venue in an area with well established and more financially stable patrons. Also, if you are new then some people may hesitate to commit to season tickets prior to seeing a single performance, especially if offering lesser known pieces, while others may commit just to try something new only to not renew the following season.

I'm sure others can be more specific but you may have to consider how their situation or reference compares to yours.

We are a 400 seat community theater in a rural town with an older audience demographic. We are celebrating 25 years of community theater. Our Season Tickets make up 20 - 30% of our patrons for each show. Musical run higher than non-musicals. Good Luck.
