Does anyone have set designs for Grease?

I am helping a high school in Memphis with this musical. I have experience building sets but I am not a designer.

G'day Joe

When I did this I sort of followed the original shows design, as being in cartoon colours & simply utilising portable rostra depicting the various scenes.

The car was just two chairs set between rostra that was either revolved or trucked on/off & the punters allowed to use their imagination.

However it ended up being compromised & tarted up with an actual hot rod car.

This is the perfect opportunity to pull non-traditional theatre students into a production. Contact your industrial arts classes or your vocational carreer centers. Pull in archetectural studies students to design and carpentry students to build and your arts classes to dress. Make this a school wide production.
