Community Theater Green Room Discussion Board: Two comedies for your consideration

   Theater friends: I have two full-length romantic comedies looking for their next bit of spotlight.

Dinner for Several won the 2004 James Sunwall New Play Award and has been produced twice, in 2006 and 2007. It's been called "A thinking person's 'Friends'" and "a laugh-filled take on singlehood and coupling." 4 women, 3 men, 2 hours, unit set.

One Before Forty takes the audience on an intimate, laugh-laden tour through one man's not-so-successful love life. It has roles for 3 men and 2 women. It runs 75 minutes with a minimal set. It was produced twice in 2006 and reaped several awards for Curtain Call Theatre (Braintree MA) at that year's EMACT competition.
