I am a set volunteer with a community theater group. We want to do large "panels" of wrought iron. Any suggestions? This would be something we're trying to accomplish on our own using inexpensive materials. I've seen many posts by someone at Greensboro Day School. Does anyone know the web address of their rental facility in Greensboro, that's not far from us. Many thanks.

I have cut out several very convincing wrought iron designs using a scroll saw blade in a jig saw. I use 1/2"- 3/4' plywood depending on the design, a short cut in the layout is to use a overhead projector to help layout the design on the plywood. You will, if you go this route want to use good grade of plywood one free of voids, and the more plys the merrier too. I also use a Bosch jig saw they are a bit more expensive, but it is money very wisely invested. It will be the last one you ever need to purchase.
