for The Sound of Music (CYT Lake)

COME JOIN CYT! One of the largest children’s

Based on a
true story of the Von Trapp Family who fled from Nazi-occupied Austria before
the outbreak of World War Two, The Sound of Music is an exciting story of
family, freedom, triumph and romance! From the open-hearted innocence of the title tune
to the uplift of "Climb Every Mountain" to the folk simplicity of
"Edelweiss" to the charm of "Do-Re-Mi" and "My
Favourite Things," The Sound of Music continues to delight families with
its memorable story and music! 

Auditions: March 12  -
4:30-9:00pm at Village Church of Gurnee, 1319 N. Hunt Club Rd., Gurnee IL

13 - 9:30-1:00 pm at Village Church of Gurnee, 1319 N. Hunt Club Rd., Gurnee IL

Rehearsal
Locations: 
Fridays at Gurnee Community Church (4555 W. Grand Av, Gurnee); Saturdays at
Village Church of Gurnee

Rehearsals:  Fridays 5:00-9:00 pm;
Saturdays 9:30-3:00 pm

Show
Dates: 
April 30 - May 9th at Christian Arts Auditorium, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive,
Zion IL 

School
Shows: 
April 29 & May 4 at  at 9:30 and
11:45 am each day

Who: Seeking all kids ages 8-18. All roles open.

Prepare: 1- minute song of your choice incorporating
movement or dance. If you would prefer, you can do a 1 minute monologue  or dance. Bring accompaniment CD. No pianist
available. Readings and additional dance will be done at callbacks. 

IMPORTANT: In order for audition eligibility, students must
participate in a class of their choice Monday or Tuesday evenings. Call
