What do you veterans recommend for colored make-up for Tin Man, Wicked Witch and Cowardly Lion. Our stage is very, very hot. Would water-based paints be less warm than creme, or would they run from sweat more quickly. I have looked at Mehron, Snazaroo and Ben Nye.

First of all use Michael Davy's SWEAT STOP and that will most certainly help before applying anything to the face, etc. Those colors of the makeups are available at just about any makeup supply shop but look for Ben Nye or Mehron - both have the silver, the green and the yellowish for the lion available. Just have to dig but Sweat Stop will give a nice base for the makeup and retard - even prevent sweating. Makeup you might also get from Michael Davy Supply. He may have those colors AND he CAN custom make any color you want I think. He has a line he developed for Sea World in Florida for the Mermaids who do the underwater ballet. WATER PROOF makeup removes with soap and water. OR he also has SILICOLOR that was developed specifically for coloring silicone but it's a clear fluid that you can add any makeup to, and it becomes waterproof, smudge-proof and still removes with soap and water. You can add color pigment to the clear fluid and make your own makeup colors as well. Check it out at the following link:
Good luck
