I was feeling pretty smug the other day after having spent an hour or so cataloging my cast recording cd's and putting them in alphabetical order on the shelf.  I have about 60.  I was at rehearsal last night and the director and I are always talking about musicals et al.  I asked him how many he has and without batting an eye he said, "700 or so"!!!!  I almost peed my pants.  He said he has about 150 on vinyl and the rest on cd.  He re-bought everything he had on cassette when cd's came out.  I have asked him about the most obscure musicals (Bajour - for example) and yup, he has it.  I have been able to stump him on a couple( Next To Normal, name of show ) so that makes me feel good!!!  LOL!!  Course then he goes right out and gets them.
