This full-length adaptation of the novel by Carol Ryrie Brink was the recipient of the Landers Theatre National Playwriting Award, resulting in productions of this musical at the Landers Theatre in Springfield, Missouri, at First Stage Milwaukee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, The Mabel Tainter Theatre in Menomonie, Wisconsin and various other venues across the country.
It is being revived in the Fall of '09 at the Mabel Tainter.
