Has anyone done this play by Sarah Ruhl? I am thinking of doing it next year but can't decide. I would love to hear your opinions of the script, how the set was done, etc.
Thanks!

I saw this play in NY. Lovely performances and a touching father/daughter story. A memorable moment was the beautiful and intricate house made of white string that the father creates onstage. It was done very smoothly using (I think) some sort of eye hooks in the floor and on wires.
Not for an audience whose tastes run towards Nunsense and The Odd Couple!!

Loved the play (I've only read it, but would love to see it) and very much admire you for taking it on. It was originally performed at Brown University, so can be done on a budget with simple sets and props. My one hesitation -- and this is by NO means a criticism of this stunning play -- is how to graple with the sheer nihilism of a play whose central character chooses the past, and death, over the future, and life. In my work as an arts project coordinator, mum, and playwright, I've become increasingly interested in the question as to what makes people find the strength to move forward -- acknowledging all the obstacles -- rather than in focusing on the fears and deamons that hold them back. But the deamons and fears are real, and Euridyce gives them their full due.
