Community Theater Green Room Discussion Board: Foils

Message

   HI everyone!

  I am currently stage managing the great tragedy HAMLET.  We need to have foils in the show.  For some reason the task of finding foils in A LOT harder than I expected.   So if anyone has any tips on where I could find some foils, please let me know ASAP.  I'm closing in on opening night at a rapid pace and am starting to get a little worried.

	I just did a "google.com" search for swords and fencing foils and got a ton of possibilities. I'd suggest you do the same. The prices varied from around $40.00 to $120.00. From the looks of things, you may even use the sites for ideas on making your own if your theatre has a resourceful prop builder. If your theatre is thin on funds, like so many are, it would be cheaper than purchasing them. Good luck!
