I've Grown Accustomed to Your Face? (minor lyric change required LOL)

but I was wondering, Is it that you "don't" sing becuase of a lack of desire/opportunity or is that you dont sing, because you can't.. Both do fine in theater, but if its the latter, I wonder if a "revue" is right for you?

 I can carry a tune, but my experience has primarily been in non-musical shows. I am usually cast in character-type roles for musicals. I'm coming up with something fairly quickly for a gig, so hoped to find something in that comedic vein. I will look into the song mentioned, but always appreciate suggestions. Thank you!

"On the Street Where You Live" from My Fair Lady is a wonderful sweet, simple ballad with a spring in its step.  Should be in your range if you've sung Seymour and Herod :)

The song "Edelweiss" from The Sound of Music (music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II) is a great, simple song.

If you want something more lively and boisterous, perhaps try "It Takes A Woman" from Hello, Dolly! (music & lyrics by Jerry Herman).  It's a song sung by a pompous male chauvinist.

  Thanks again for these additional ideas. This is an ongoing show, so I am going to be changing my number sometimes. I ended up choosing "Try to Remember" from The Fantasticks. I also have been working on "I've Never Been in Love Before" (Guys and Dolls) and have run through "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful" from Cinderella a few times, but the high note is a little hard.
