Hello all -- I'm producing a production of Beau Jest and the script calls for an automatic speed dialer.  I was around in the 80s, but I have no idea what this, so not only can't I find one, but I'm not even sure what it's supposed to look like, so I don't know what to build... I gather it's a small black plastic device that has numbered buttons on it and a speaker with the concept that you could program it with a phone number, then hold the device up to a phone and push play and it would automatically beep the right tones to dial the number.

I saw that, but those are pretty much all phones with dialers in them or other high-tech gadgetry -- what I'm looking for is handheld... right now, my strategy is to take a plastic case I found for blister pads, of all things, paint it black and paint a keypad on one side and a speaker on the other and hope that holds up...
