YEARS ago there was a Christmas program on television (here in the US) containing the song "Christmas Night All Over the World", or something like that. The lyrics went something like this:
A star shines bright all over the world
On Christmas night all over the world
As we join hands in peace, and understand,
There's joy for everyone in every land.
And all is bright on Christmas night all over the world.
In Sweden, with candles on her head,
Mother Christmas at your bed says "Gud Nacht",
May the joys of Christmas never be forgot.
In Mexico the children all will play.
The fiesta will be gay.
They believe in the joys of Christmas
On Christmas eve.
And in Africa a crown in worn
For the Prince of Peace.
While in Japan every little Cheech and Chan
Says, "May your joys increase".
A star shines bright all over the world
On Christmas night all over the world
As we join hands in peace, and understand,
There's joy for everyone in every land.
And all is bright on Christmas night all over the world.
Does anyone remember what this show was or how to locate the music to the song?! I'm looking for music (one song) that has upbeat rhythm from various countries (as the above song does) for a production. Any suggestions on that? |

Found it ... If anyone is interested, it's from the show "Christmas Is". You can actually watch the entire thing on GodTube.com

I just found this in a search tonight (never found it in past searches) while thinking back on a song we sang in grade school (Janeville, WI - think it was Harrison Elementary)...
I remember singing it and almost all the words. Mark |
