We are a small town CT with membership of 100 or so. We have always paid for our summer musicals Director 600, orchestra director 500, choral director 150, choreographer 100. This seems to fit in our budget the best... as a Summer Musical director I have taken a lower amount to accomodate a choregrapher that traveled to participate...we try to make everyone feel that their contribution is important. Our orchestra leader is the only one that has stayed firm with his 500 and won't take less. Although, we never have to worry about finding a tuba player, it is his responsibilty and his work for the $$ he asked for. For all other performances our comedy, drama, and youth we only pay the set designer and construction person 300. I say only because what they do is worth so much more, but as a small CT that is all we have to give. It is more of a gesture for their work rather than to get rich.
