A Google search for "maltese Falcon" stage, shows that there is a stage version of the show. I have not been able to find any information on where you get the rights to this.

Following up dboris's google search: The Long Beach Shakespeare Company produced a stage version of "The Maltese Falcon" in 2007 which was adapted by Helen Borgers (who is the artistic director of the troupe). The contact page for LBSC is here:
There is an email link to Borgers there if you wish to contact her for rights.

Renaissance Theatre (http://www.renaissancetheatre.net/ ) did a stage production of it earlier this year. I would imagine they have some info.
