Does anyone have any ideas on where to find a choreographer who will work for nothing...or next to it?!
I have been through 3 in the past 4 years, and the one I have now is a high school Jr - she is excellent for our purposes, but next year will be her Sr year and I am sure she will be focusing on college.
I was wondering if anyone has tried contacting local dance studios, colleges, etc for people who are looking for "internships"?

Well, yes and no.
I would not "contact them" as in calling on the phone and asking. Dancers have their art and performances just as we do. Sometimes theatre and dance cross and we can work together, but it starts with appreciation and support.
I'd go to some dance recitals. Try to meet some dancers and/or choreographers. Attend a social/reception. Network. You'll develop some relationships and maybe even friendships.
I got to become "one of them" by taking on a part in the party scene of the Nutcracker Ballet. They were looking for some men to sort of dress the stage. No difficult dancing involved and very limited rehearsals.
Now I've got not only a good size pool of choreographers but exceptional dancers as well. Once they trust you and have a good experience, the word spreads.
