Hey guys! One uniting factor among all of us is trying to find some way to gain more production money so we can put on better shows...does anyone know of any grant that can be written for whose purpose is soley dedicatd to community theater/the arts? Thanks! |

The one that comes to mind is the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) that offer grants.
Here is the link, and I believe there are qualification guidelines and deadlines that have to be met, but it is always worth the try.
The worst that they can say is 'no'. It maybe worth the time to just apply. Good luck.

Thanks! I remember seeing the ad's for the NEA on PBS after Reading Rainbow...always worth a try...

Definitely check out your local Council on the Arts. Most states' Arts Councils give grants for capital improvements or salaries. We always plan one 'big' production that would require more funding than we have available and apply for a subsidizing grant. We've only been denied once in 13 years.
