I would not only be worried about setting expectations in the director's mind, but also about thinking your can waltz into any role because you've had professional experience. Some directors might be thinking "Do I really want this headache?" I would audition without the info listed. After you are cast, then I would come clean in a private discussion with the director, addressing the fact that you aren't going to be that potential headache.
Also, I just want to relate that I took the director's hat off for one production recently while I nurtured a student director and stage managed for her. I found it incredibly difficult to keep my mouth shut when I saw things that needed "correcting." If you have this type of personality, you should be on your toes to keep you mouth shut with "advice" unless you are specifically asked>
