So we are about to do our last production on our current stage. A very bittersweet occassion. With our new space being built right now we are looking at what show to do for our first production. This is a high school, so the students will need to be trained to use all the new equipment. I think I have convinced the director to look at doing a "simpler" show and do it really well. We don't want to start out with a show that requires complicated set pieces and lighting. My concern was to be sure the students can RUN the equipment.
any ideas on plays? We've done You can't take it with you, Harvey, Diary of Anne Frank, and are doing All because of Agatha right now.
Thanks

Possibly the ‘Last tango in Little dibbly’ or the ‘Whitby’ one;-

Although ‘By Jeeves’ could be a possibility?;- http://www.doollee.com/PlaywrightsA/ayckbourn-alan.html#1353 Which is an improvised Panto style [music by ALW] In that vein I’m sure Stuart from Lazy Bee could help with an appropriate production.- http://www.lazybeescripts.co.uk/ Rather than doing a spectacular style show & ending up with egg on their sleeves. Not suggesting that Panto is any less spectacular, but allows & accommodates easily any unforseen circumstances & fluffs to be part of it. |

Might I suggest the old gem Arsenic and Old Lace? Simple set. Simple lighting. Always delightful.

When we opened our new PAC we did "Midsummer's Nights Dream". The kids loved it. It is a tech friendly show. Alice
